Constructing a Milled Log Home

When Mountain Architects' log home designers create a milled log home plan, they also determine how the logs will fit during on-site installation. Their precise design is transferred to the milling department where each log is precut to fit the design. Then, each log is labeled, crated and shipped to the site, where it is assembled by PrecisionCraft crews upon your foundation.

The profiles available for a milled log home include: square, rectangular, round and "D"log. The milling process generates smooth surfaces, but a variety of drawknifed or adzed finishes can be applied to achieve a rustic texture.
