Milled Log Home in the South Fork
The Southern Colorado town of South Fork lies at the merging of two national forests with a view of several mountain peaks off in the distance. This location blends the natural wonder of the landscape with the local town charm and was an important factor in this Texas couple choosing to build in the rugged terrain of Colorado.
This milled log home was first inspired by the Blue Ridge concept for its Appalachian design and accommodating layout. Adapting the original concept to work with their lifestyle, the new floor plan features a larger master suite, office, and open sleeping loft above. Working with the gradual slope of the lot, M.T.N Architects created this home's design to include a walk-out basement for extra square footage. |
