Green Building Resources & News

You can count on Mountain Architects to be your green building consultant; however, there is still a lot of information out there about living and building green. In an effort to help you sort through the mass of data, we have compiled some of our favorite resources. In your search to find the information you are looking for it is very likely that you will also stumble across a great solution that never occurred to you. We have certainly found some of those ourselves.

Here are some sites we have found useful in our own research:

Experts (architects, builders, LEED AP's, engineers) provide advice and resources for adding sustainability into your home. Not only do they provide ideas, but they also discuss the benefits and costs related to all of your options. This approach helps you to find green products and ideas that work for you personally. The Green Home Guide is produced in part by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Billed as "the CNN of green news", Mother Nature Network was created for the regular person who wants information written in a way that everyone can understand. Bloggers specialize in everything from Food, Travel and Transportation, to Homes, Technology and Shipping.

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is the nation's primary laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development. If you are interested in utilizing a renewable energy source, the NREL site will help you to understand the technical nature of your options.
