Building a Greener World, One Home at a Time

The GREEN LOG Home & Lifestyle Awards™ were created in response to the growing demand for green building solutions. The goal of the awards is to locate and shine a spotlight on those companies and individuals who are enabling healthier homes and lifestyles.

The Green Log Home & Lifestyle Awards™ were founded by the non-profit organization, Green Log Awards, Inc., in cooperation with the Environment News Service (ENS).

ENS is the original daily international wire service of the environment. ENS serves as a co-founder and judge of the Green Log Home & Lifestyle Awards™.

Green Log Awards Inc. is the founder and host of the Green Log Home & Lifestyle Awards™. Green Log Awards, Inc. was created by PrecisionCraft Log Homes and the award-winning architectural firm of Mountain Architects to facilitate the awards program. Who are the Nominees?

Nominees were chosen from a variety of industries; from home energy systems and building materials to eco-friendly flooring and sustainable landscaping. We will also be investigating the best websites to get tips on healthier living and the best places to shop for greener products and services. Voting

Voting for the Nominees of the 2008 Green Log Home & Lifestyle Awards was open to the public in April. The public chose from among dozens of outstanding eco-sustainable solutions.

ENS will rate the finalists. Using ENS’ rating and the public voting, we will determine the final winners. Public vote counting 40% of the vote and ENS’ rating counting 60% of the vote.

"A log home is actually the most natural, organic and environmentally sustainable dwelling in the history of homebuilding," says Jim Young, PrecisionCraft President and Incoming President of the Log Homes Council (a division of the National Association of Homebuilders).
