Mike what a beautiful looking Log Home. I love how you incorporated the stone into your kitchen and fireplace. I have a question about the construction…I know alternative energy is becoming more and more important in new home construction. Did you incorporate any alternative energy technologies into your log home like solar panels or geothermal?

I have discussed log home maintenance issues on my blog many times over the years, and many of those things can be minimized if people follow your suggestions. As you mentioned, extending an overhang or just positioning the home properly can save money and enrich the experience of living in a log home. Great tips!
