PrecisionCraft Wins in Three Categories at Annual Building Systems Councils Home Design Awards.

During a time when new home construction news stories are rarely positive, it is a pleasure to announce that two of PrecisionCraft’s newest log home projects have been awarded for their excellence in home design, by the Building Systems Councils.

Although the pace of new home construction has slowed, PrecisionCraft Log and Timber Homes has continued to concentrate on designing and building quality mountain style homes. As a result, two of their homes were recently honored in the 2011 BSC Excellence in Home Design and Marketing Awards program. The honor was awarded by the Building Systems Councils (BSC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)—a trade association that represents the concrete, log, modular, and panelized building system industries. The annual awards are judged by a panel of industry experts.

The first of two home awards presented to PrecisionCraft was for design excellence in a log home built between 3,001 and 4,000 sq. ft. This unique home used log post and beam construction and is located outside of Atlanta, Georgia. The second design award when to a traditional log structure located in Woolwich, Maine for Excellence in Design of a home built over 4,000 sq. ft.

“This year’s award winners prove that despite a sluggish housing market, the systems-built industry is raising the bar in residential marketing and home design concepts,” said BSC Chairman Vic DePhillips, a modular manufacturer from Moosic, Pa.

In addition to home design excellence, awardees were also recognized for excellence in several marketing categories.  PrecisionCraft was fortunate to receive a third honor during the event, the Excellence in Marketing award for Builder Marketing Materials.  The marketing material was PrecisionCraft’s Inspired Living architectural piece which features details on some of their most inspiring log and timber homes.

Award winners were announced to a crowd of nearly 200 systems-built industry professionals at the awards luncheon. Winners received plaques to commemorate their efforts. They will be featured in upcoming editions of NAHB’s e-newspaper, Nation’s Building News.  Some projects will also be on display on the BSC Awards Wall at the 2011 International Builders’ Show in Orlando.
