This installment of our Inspired Living series features a rustic handcrafted log cabin, with loads of charm. Tour the plan and view images from inside and out of this custom log home retreat.
The inspiration for David and Sue's rustic retreat came from their property's history, landscape and easy access to world-class fishing.
In "Rustic Charm Meets Luxury Style" you will see how David and Sue were able to create a modern log cabin that echoed the rugged traditions of the old mining town, located just one mile away.
Built just outside of Mackay, in the mountains of Central Idaho, their cabin blends perfectly with the historic buildings erected a hundred years before.
In addition to providing them with a rustic look and feel, the couple wanted M.T.N Architects to keep the size of their home below 2,500sq.ft.
"We did not want a huge cabin, but one that was large enough to accommodate our children and grandchildren during summer visits," says David.
In the tradition of our Rustic Luxury Cabin series, M.T.N Architects was able to design a cabin that fit the couple's smaller size requirements but retained the historic character and style they wanted to achieve.
