Her earliest memories trace back to three-week elk hunting trips near Yellowstone with her father—a tradition passed down from her grandfather, and now lovingly continued with her husband and their four daughters. What was once backcountry hunting on horseback has evolved into hiking, fishing, motorbiking, and photography—all within the same countryside that shaped her childhood.

Every detail was carefully considered: the hand-adzed beams, the stacked log walls, and the floor-to-ceiling windows that frame jaw-dropping views of the Tetons.
Outside, a stone-slab walkway bridges a pond lined with river rock, while the landscaping was designed to echo the natural surrounding environment—a soft, organic landscape that complements the grandeur of the home.
Inside, dark woods, natural stone, and heritage trade techniques are woven throughout. Wood paneling and trims were milled on-site using old sawmills and hand tools, including drawknives, paying homage to traditional methods. Even the exterior timber was treated with an ancient Japanese wood-charring technique—shou sugi ban—to enhance its resilience against Wyoming’s rugged climate.
