Elkhorn River Residence
Built on the site of an abandoned YMCA camp near Omaha, Nebraska, this modern timber frame home incorporates the heritage of what came before with unique features such as the functioning bell tower that is used to call the owner's children home for dinner, and the indoor swing that hangs from a sturdy timber frame beam. Whether they are lounging on the deck outside the master suite, choosing a book from the shelves that line the open catwalk, or while they gather together round the great room fireplace, this modern design helps the family truly enjoy their wooded surroundings.
